A shopping experience that offers a wide variety of fresh vegetables and seasonal fruits, honey & honey products, maple syrup and maple syrup products, delicious baking, stone ground flour, alpaca yarns for knitters and weavers as well as socks, mitts, local meats (beef, bison, lamb, goat, pork) and northern Ontario cheeses.

Farmed by Martti & Melanie Lemieux, Valleyfield is focused on building rich topsoil to nurture flavourful, nutrient dense foods for the families of Algoma through regenerative agriculture.

Fresh produce, lamb, beef, pork, poultry, eggs, baked goods and fresh cut flowers. Available June-November at farm gate, by delivery, Mill Market and CSA (all locations). Please call ahead.

Farm Share

A Farm Share (often called a CSA for Community Shared Agriculture) is a pre-season investment in good, clean food. The value of your share is used to stabilize up-front costs such as the purchase of naturally sourced seeds, biological soil amendments and supplies.

In return for your farm share you receive dividends in the form of truly farm fresh food.

A farm share forms a bridge that enables an equitable and secure exchange of food that transcends the consumer/producer relationship and becomes a relationship of co-production and community.

B. A share is valued at $475 and consists of approx.16 weekly pick ups from mid-June to mid-October.

Payment can be made in one installment of $475 or it can be split into three installments as follows. (alternate arrangements can also be made if needed:)

1. $75 (sign up deposit)

2. $200 April 1

3. $200 May 1

We then reserve food from our weekly harvests and sort into shares to be picked up at Mill Market on Saturday mornings between 8:00am and 1:00pm or Wednesday afternoons from 1-6pm.

Algoma Farmers’ Market vendors have been selling fresh, local products in Sault Ste. Marie since 1901. The Market offers Algoma grown, Algoma picked and Algoma produced products. Products available include vegetables, baking, preserves, maple syrup, beef, lamb, honey, pork, poultry (chicken) and eggs.

Summer market: June to October, Roberta Bondar Pavilion Sault Ste. Marie. Saturdays 8 am to 1 pm; Wednesdays 12 pm to 5 pm (Starting in July)

Winter market: Nov to May on Saturdays, Wellington Square Mall 625 Trunk Rd. Sault Ste. Marie Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm
