Sally Kennedy and Scott Baker have been farming their land near Reid rd. in Laird for 11 years. On the property originally farmed by Scott's family since the mid 1800's, the two now raise Alpacas. In 2005 they started this venture as a hobby, and have successfully sustained the operation since.
Stourie Brae has seen 9 Alpacas born and raised on their land, in addition to the 6 originally purchased and the 11 animals that have been gifted to them over the years.
Through Sally’s research and most practically, her experience, she has developed a strong and intimate relationship with her animals. There is a distinguishable trust between them, which is clearly displayed through the gentle and effective way in which they're handled.
Sally’s Alpacas are given the highest quality of care. Not to mention, guarded by three of the most diligent and dutiful livestock guardian dogs in the district! Sally also has alpaca available for sale to anyone interested in starting an alpaca farm.
